Frequently Asked Questions
The Basics:
-
To set up a Ride Blue account, simply download the "Ride Blue” app from the app store. Create an account and you are ready to scan a vehicle.
To begin a ride, scan the QR code on the vehicle then, select "Unlock." Once the timer initiates, manually kick-push the vehicle as you would with a non-electric scooter to set it in motion, and afterward, engage the throttle. The vehicle will then operate fully on electric power. If you stop completely, repeat the kick-push process to resume movement.
For e-bikes, once the timer starts, start pedaling as you would on a regular bike to get it moving. The electric assistance will activate accordingly. Pedal again to restart the bike if you come to a complete stop during the ride.
-
Vehicle icons on the map mean they're ready for rides. Each icon shows where a vehicle is and its type. You'll only see vehicles on the map if you're in the operational zone (shown in blue). If you're outside this zone, they might not show up.
Vehicle availability varies by market. When you see vehicle icons on the rider map, it means those vehicles are ready for rides. Each icon indicates the type of vehicle available at that spot, whether it's an e-scooter, a moped, or an e-bike. Vehicles typically operate from early morning until evening, but specific hours vary by market and may change due to factors like weather conditions.
-
To end a ride, it is mandatory to return the vehicle to the designated parking area as shown on the app’s map. The rider holds the responsibility of ensuring the vehicle's return to the Ride Blue’s designated parking area to officially conclude their trip.
Be sure to check the local parking rules and make sure you're in an authorized parking spot. Ensure the vehicle isn't blocking access for people with disabilities or obstructing pedestrian or vehicle traffic.
